Sambal Eggplant or Terong Balado is a bold and spicy dish featuring tender eggplants cooked in a savory homemade chili paste. This crowd-pleasing recipe combines sweet, salty, tangy, and spicy flavors of the Nyonyalite Sambal Ayam Penyet, making it a delightful addition to any meal. Serving size: 4 people


  1. Heat the wok or skillet with cooking oil.

  2. Stir fry eggplant until it is soften. Make sure it is not overcooked.

  3. Remove eggplant from pan:

  4. 4 teaspoons of Nyonyalite Sambal Ayam Penyet into the wok or skillet. If you enjoy spicier flavors, feel free to add more.

  5. Add the minced garlic to the wok or skillet and stir-fry until it becomes fragrant. Next, add the eggplants to the wok or skillet.

  6. Stir it well so the sambal is evenly distributed.

  7. Serve when the brinjal.
