This is my first time trying the Buah Keluak paste and it did not disappoint. I have always avoided trying to cook this dish as its' preparation complexity has deterred me. So I am very glad to have discovered Nyonyalite and will not hesitate to try their other pastes as well.

Cooked it last Wednesday following instructions printed on the box after I had marinated the chicken pieces, dried mushrooms (soaked and retain the water for later simmering) and chopped potatoes. Since it was Ash Wednesday, I ate only the mushrooms and potatoes for dinner and left the balance in a heated pot on the stove overnight to thicken the sauce and to seal in the marinade. It tasted good and full of umami. Goes well with rice, pasta, etc. I will buy more.

Love the paste. Within 1 hour I can cooks a wok of mee siam. Easy to use. The taste is just right. Sour and sweetness is well balanced. Thanks for such great paste to ease preparation time

One of the best pastes that I rely on to replicate taste. I used both pork ribs n chicken parts with the paste, but first I saute lots of shallot, and the dish turned out to be very delicious with the right touch of chili and spice.

Super easy to cook

My parents love the buah keluak paste. My mum says it is easy to cook and my dad adds that it makes one of the tastiest keluak dishes that he has ever had!

Convenient paste to use anytime

The taste is fantastic — so flavourful! It’s incredibly easy to cook and prep, and you don’t have to be a chef to get a delicious Buah Keluak dish on the table. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Peranakan flavours without the fuss.

The taste is “legit”. It reminded me of a bibik teaching a young nyonya how to cook. The smell in from the kitchen was wonderful.

Loved by both children and adults. I only added extra ingredient of curry leaves, 2 more potatoes and a round of soya sauce. It was wiped clean. A sure fire dish that is so easy to cook.

The buah keluak paste is easy to cook with just adding chicken only. It is almost perfect as if we grind our own paste
